Event Details
Spirit of Uluru Dinner

Dresscode: Smart Casual
- Check-in and drinks are at 4:30pm followed by the dinner at 5:30pm
- All WITS Walkers must be checked-in before 5:30pm
- Checkin includes getting Walk instructions and map, Walk Number, WITS cap plus any merchandise purchased
- Meal is included in the Uluru WITS Walker Fee under “Spirit of Uluru Dinner” – (See Pricing)
- The dinner will feature a formal presentation by an Indigenous Elder, sharing cultural insights and blessings to honour and inspire the walk the following morning.
Uluru Flagship Walk
5th October 2026
- The walk will start at sunrise (~6:20am) on Monday, 5th October 2026 to avoid heat.
- An 11 km guided walk around Uluru will be traversed by participating WITS Walkers.
- WITS Walkers will be led by Everald and Helen Compton.
- The walk will take around three hours, with hourly rest stops where WITS Walkers can relax.
- A map will be provided to WITS Walkers and there will be 2 toilet facilities marked on the map.
- WITS Volunteers will be at water stations to assist WITS Walkers during the walk.
Celebratory Lunch (Post walk)
11:30am at Ilkari Restaurant at Sails in the Desert Hotel
Dresscode: Casual
- Meal is included in the Uluru WITS Walker Fee under “Celebratory Lunch” – (See Pricing)
- A relaxed and uplifting celebration following the completion of the 11 km WITS Walker Event.
How to get there?
Flight and Accomodations are to be handled by participating WITS Walkers.
Flight to Uluru
WITS Walkers are responsible for booking their own flights to Ayers Rock (AYQ) Uluru / Connellan Airport with these available airlines. Please note that transfers from the airport to the hotels are not included and should be arranged independently.
Road to Uluru
If you prefer a slower pace, consider taking the scenic route. WITS Walkers can choose to take a long drive with their caravan to Uluru, making it a wonderful way to reflect, prepare, and connect spiritually before the walk.
Where to stay?
Once participation is confirmed, WITS Walkers will receive an exclusive accommodation discount, applicable to hotels within the AYERS ROCK RESORT group. These discounted rates are provided specially for event participants to make their stay more enjoyable and affordable. Discount details will be shared upon registration confirmation.
Transfers
Participating WITS Walkers are provided shuttle buses for transfers between the hotels and Uluru before and after the walk.

How much is it to register for the Uluru walk?

Reminders:
– Uluru Walk Fee* covers (Hotel to Uluru and back) Bus transfer fees, First Aid and Onsite Paramedic Services and Water Stations.
– There will be a National Parks entry fee of $39 that will need to be paid directly on arrival at Uluru.
– Flights and accommodation should be booked as soon as possible after registration and well before October 2026.
– The 5th of October 2026 is a Public Holiday in QLD and NSW ACT NA – Labour Day, facilitating travel for many SpiritWalkers.
– Photos of the event will be taken. If you wish not to be in any photos, please email the organisers at contact@spiritwalker.org.au prior to the event.
– Total Registration Price does include GST.
REGISTRATION
Be a WITS Walker on the Uluru Walk
A separate registration must be made for each person, that is a separate ticket needs to be registered for each participant. This is because donations are recognized individually
The Event is to be organised by Dorcas ACTS and is intended to be an on-going event, possibly at different venues, occurring every year or two.
The Walk in the Spirit 2026 event is a nationwide charity initiative centred on a flagship 11 km walk around Uluru on Monday, 5 October 2026.
