WITS Volunteer Application

WITS Volunteer Guidelines & Requirements

All volunteers will be required to wear the official Volunteer Cap and Shirt during the event. Volunteers will assist in a variety of roles such as:

Route Marshals

Guide walkers safely along the course, provide directions, and help create an encouraging atmosphere throughout the route.

WITS Walker Check-In

Welcome participants, confirm registrations, hand out shirts, caps, and walker numbers before the event begins.

Logistic Support

Assist with bus transfers, setup, and coordination to keep everything running smoothly from start to finish.

A discounted volunteer fee of $35 applies to cover the cost of the official shirt. All volunteers must also agree to abide by the Walk in the Spirit (WITS) Volunteer Code of Conduct as part of their registration.

    The Event is to be organised by Dorcas ACTS and is intended to be an on-going event, possibly at different venues, occurring every year or two.
    The Walk in the Spirit 2026 event is a nationwide charity initiative centred on a flagship 11 km walk around Uluru on Monday, 5 October 2026.
