Walk in the Spirit
Local Walks
The event’s purpose is to raise funds for Dorcas ACTS, a charity Everald founded to provide emergency financial aid to people in crisis where ever they are located in Australia. Dorcas ACTS is a 100% volunteer-run organization, meaning all funds raised go directly to those in need.
Lead the walk!
As Team Leader, you get to choose the route for your group. Each member can then individually select the walk distance that suits them best from the options below.
How it works?
STAND OUT
Register to Become a Team Leader: To start a local WITS Walk, you’ll need to register as a Team Leader. This means choosing a safe 11 km, 5 km, or 3 km route in your community.
ASSEMBLE
Gather Your Team! Invite family, friends, colleagues, or your community group to join you. Teams need at least 4 walkers.
FUNDRAISE
Each Team sets a team fundraising target, and each Walker (team member) sets their own personal fundraising target. Proceeds to directly to Dorcas ACTS.
WALK IN THE SPIRIT
On Monday 5 October 2026 (or previous Sat/Sun in some States), your team will walk alongside thousands nationwide, connected in purpose to the flagship Uluru walk.

Base fee covers administration and stationary costs. WITS Walkers will be allocated a walk number.
Local walks take place on Monday 5 Oct 2026 (or the Saturday/Sunday prior)
Suggested donations for Walkers are $80, $150, $250, or $500

The Event is to be organised by Dorcas ACTS and is intended to be an on-going event, possibly at different venues, occurring every year or two.
The Walk in the Spirit 2026 event is a nationwide charity initiative centred on a flagship 11 km walk around Uluru on Monday, 5 October 2026.
